Interior Tips from MINLU

I would dare to claim that almost every compact bathroom renovation begins with a slight sense of panic. And not without reason – the space is what it is, but somehow you need to fit in a shower, a sink, a toilet... As an example, let's take an interior project for a 1.5x1.6 m bathroom somewhere in Latgale.

Where to start? First of all, you need to assess the placement of utilities and understand the layout of the main elements.

Once that is clear, the next logical step is to find the most suitable shower enclosure. You should definitely consider not only the dimensions of the enclosure but also its shape and opening options – for small spaces, those with sliding or bi-fold doors are more suitable. My discovery this time - the perfect shower enclosure for small bathrooms – KATARINA. It opens from the corner, and the doors can be opened both inward and outward – super practical, convenient, and space-saving. Furthermore, the doors can be completely folded inwards, ensuring they don't get in the way in your daily routine.

The shower enclosure is complemented by the AMATA thermostatic shower mixer – a convenient solution that allows you to set the temperature once and enjoy a comfortable morning shower every time.

The next important question – freestanding or built-in? The choice of a toilet frame should be taken especially seriously, considering the available space and room layout. A slightly more compact option would be the built-in toilet frame, especially if you opt for a super-slim frame (this time I chose TECEPROFIL – only 8 cm in depth). Another advantage of a built-in toilet frame is the possibility to create a shelf or niche for convenient storage of small items. In this case, the toilet and frame are on the same wall, so a practical niche is also perfect for toiletries, without the need for additional shelves. This time, my choice for the toilet fell on the Cersanit ZEN PRO OVAL.

No matter how small the bathroom is, a sink is an absolute necessity! Especially if it's the only bathroom in the household. Here, it's worth exploring the range of compact sinks. For this bathroom, I chose a small but interesting sink, VENECIA, which I complemented with a simple design faucet, BĒRZUPE in white with chrome accents.

And finally, the Must-Have for every compact bathroom - a vertical towel warmer/rack. It can be installed in almost any size bathroom and will not only dry your towels but also make your bathrobe warm and cozy when stepping out of the shower!

But most importantly, the bathroom should be designed to bring joy and put a smile on your face when you see yourself in the mirror every morning!

Wishing you coziness,
